Reposm Dinner with Sir John Major

The Sporting Club recently held a fundraising Dinner for Reposm at the Kia Oval. 250 people enjoyed the sumptuous surroundings and heard very interesting interviews with Sir John Major, Sir Trevor McDonald and cricket legend David Gower. They shared fascinating insights into their views on sport and especially cricket. Michael Soper, Chairman of Reposm, updated the amazing progress being made by the charity in recent months.

Chis Cowdrey led a very successful auction ensuring that the evening raised substantial funds for Reposm and their commitment to build the first flats next year for retired sportspeople who have fallen into difficulty.

SPORTING CLUB ANNUAL AWARDS DINNER

It was a privilege for Reposm to be the fundraising beneficiary at the Sporting Club Annual Awards Dinner on 15th December 2022 at the Royal Lancaster Hotel. Over 450 attended this most prestigious evening amongst a galaxy of stars including Lord Sebastian Coe, Dane Tanni Grey-Thompson, Jonny Bairstow, Dame Laura Kenny, Christine Ohoruogu, Sarina Wiegman, Beth Mead and Michael Watson.

The Reposm Sports Housing Trust are delighted to announce that over £25,000 was raised for the charity on the night – a wonderful start to 2023 – the year they expect to open the first flats to accommodate up to 20 retired sports people who have fallen on hard times.
